Unlikely Duo of Three-Year-Old Girl and Her Mother Create Mesmerizing Art
Toronto-based, duo of three-year-old Eve and her mother, Ruth Oosterman, based Canadian artist, are creating mesmerizing art. Their creations had caused a stir after Oosterman published them a year ago on Bored Panda.
Their art starts with Eve, armed with a felt pen and a playful imagination. She begins to doodle and scrawl on a piece of paper and then Ruth takes over and finishes it with paint.
Oosterman is inspired by Eve’s imagination and says it makes her more creative when she loses her seriousness and lets her brush quickly work its magic. She is blessed that her daughter takes her to the rare centre of her wildest imagination; and wrote “As Pablo Picasso said, it can take ‘but a lifetime to paint like a child.’”
The duo’s artwork is in a league of its own as it combines striking pen strokes and splatters of color with nimble additions of Ruth to bring a story and life to it.
These are some of the latest paintings that came out.
A haunting reindeer has been painted from the bold pen strokes veining down haphazardly from the top of the picture. Its antlers mesh into the weave and the somber colors, which makes its body give it a feel of solemness.
While next painting features a majestic polar bear with an icy skyline looking over the sea as it forms the head of the island. You can find their collection in their Etsy shop.

I like art, and by art I mean music, poetry, sex, paintings, the human body, literature. All of this is art to me.
